Product Structure

The product structure is used to group all product types. It consists of five levels, with each item assigned to the lowest level subcategory. Across the ecosystem, this structure supports item filtering, pricing bands, reporting, and stock control.

The product structure is created with the following hierarchy: Division → Sub Division → Super Category → Category → Subcategory

Zonal Connect has enhanced the name fields across the platform, Main Names are now longer fields and will be displayed in all areas in Zonal Connect that may use that field, the Aztec Name field is used to update the existing Aztec module with the same character limits

Navigate to Product Admin → Product Structure

Adding New Divisions

Follow these steps to add a new division:

Click Add | select Division
Enter the following details, Main Name | Aztec Name | Type
Set any additional fields as required, Description | Mandatory Line Check
Click Save

Adding Sub Divisions

Follow these steps to add a new sub division:

Click Add | select Sub Division
Enter the following details, Main Name | Aztec Name
Select the Division to link the sub division to | click Add

Adding New Super Categories

Follow these steps to add a new super category:

Click Add | select Super Category
Enter the following details, Main Name | Aztec Name
Select the Division and Sub Division to link the Super Category to | click Add

Adding New Categories

Follow these steps to add a new categories:

Click Add | select Category
Enter the following details, Main Name | Aztec Name
Select the Division, Sub Division, Super Categoryto link the Category to | click Add
Enter Description (optional)
Click Save

Adding New Subcategories

Follow these steps to add a new subcategories:

Click Add | select Subcategory
Enter the following details, Main Name | Aztec Name
Select the Division, Sub Division, Super Category, Category to link the Subcategory to | click Add
Set any additional fields as required, Description | Allow Site Pricing | Allow Site Naming | Use for Cover Count | b
Click Save

Remember when creating new subcategories these must be allocated to a price band so that the correct prices are allocated to sites and sales areas, click here to find out more

Editing the Product Structure

Follow these steps to edit a the product structure:

Select the required level of the product structure
Update any fields as required | click Save

Searching the Product Structure

Follow these steps to search for a level of the product structure:

In the tree section click into the search
Enter the search term, press <enter> or click the search icon, the results will be displayed matching the search term including any mid-word matches
To remove the search click the remove search icon

Viewing Activity

Follow these steps to view the activity of a product structure level:

Select the required structure level | select the Activity tab
By default todays activity is initially displayed, adjust the date selection to choose either
- 1M - last 1 month of changes
- 3M - last 3 months of changes
- Custom - date range picker
Activity will be displayed with the following information
- Date & Time
- User
- Action

Field Settings & Information

Division Details

The details section allows you to set the main configurable information for divisions.

The following table of information describes each of the division settings fields:

Field	Description
Main Name	Main division name used across the platform - 50 characters
Aztec Name	Shorter division name used by Aztec - 20 characters
Description	Description of the division - 250 characters
Type	Defines the division type
Mandatory Line	When enabled mandatory line checks are used within Aztec Stocks

Sub Division Details

The details section allows you to set the main configurable information for sub divisions.

The following table of information describes each of the sub division settings fields:

Field	Description
Main Name	Main sub division name used across the platform - 50 characters
Aztec Name	Shorter sub divisionname used by Aztec - 20 characters

Super Category Details

The details section allows you to set the main configurable information for super category.

The following table of information describes each of the super category settings fields:

Main Name	Main super category name used across the platform - 50 characters
Aztec Name	Shorter super category name used by Aztec - 20 characters

Category Details

The details section allows you to set the main configurable information for category.

The following table of information describes each of the category settings fields:

Aztec Name	Shorter category name used by Aztec - 20 characters
Description	Description of the category - 250 characters

Subcategory Details

The settings section allows you to set the main configurable information for subcategories.

The following table of information describes each of the subcategory settings fields:

Field	Description
Main Name	Main subcategory name used across the platform - 50 characters
Aztec Name	Shorter subcategory name used by Aztec - 20 characters
Description	Description of the subcategory - 250 characters
Allow Site Pricing	When enabled Aztec site users will be able to set prices of items (from this subcategory) within Theme Modelling \| Site Products
Allow Site Naming	When enabled Aztec site users will be able to set names of items (from this subcategory) within Theme Modelling \| Site Products
Use for Cover Count	When enabled items sold from this subcategory will be recorded as a cover / guest for reporting
Age Restriction	When enabled items sold from this subcategory will prompt for an age verification
