Sales Area Banding

Sales area banding governs your regular selling prices by association of a price band to a subcategory for each sales area within the site.

Managing Banding

For each sales area within your organisation you must associate the sales area and subcategory to the relevant price band so that the correct prices are displayed for all ordering channels.

By default sales area banding is always the first tab displayed.

Applying Organisation & Product Structure Filters

  1. Select the required filters from the organisation and product structure filters

    As least one level must be selected from both filter sections to be able to load the sales area banding grid
  2. Click Apply Filters | the sales area banding grid is now displayed based on the filter criteria selected

    By default 250 rows will be displayed in the grid, if there are more subcategories these will be displayed on further pages, alternatively the number of items displayed on a page can be increased to either 500 or 750
  3. By default the following columns are displayed:

    • Site

    • Sales Area

    • Subcategory

    • Current Band

    • Date of Change

    • Future Band

    Additionally using the column button will allow the follow to be added to the grid (or default columns removed for that session):

    • Site Reference

    • Category

    • Last Sync

Setting Banding - Single Subcategories

Follow these steps to allocate the banding based on a single site, sales area and subcategory:

  1. Select the required Start Date by clicking into the date cell

    The date must always be selected before choosing the price band, if a current band is displayed then the date selected will be used to swap that subcategory to the new price band
  2. Select the required Price Band by clicking into the future band cell

    Each of the available price bands from the assigned price group (for that site location) will be displayed, to quickly navigate to the band letter you can enter the 1 or 2 character band letter
  3. Click Save

    If an incorrect date or entry has been made (future date changes) click back into the date cell use the X to remove the set date
    If the banding grid has been loaded with multiple pages before changing the page any changes must be saved

Setting Banding - Multiple Subcategories

Follow these steps to allocate the banding based on multiple row selections of site, sales area and subcategory:

The following rules apply when using multiple banding assignment:

  • The selected sites all have to be within the same price group

  • The selected sites cannot have a price group change set

  1. Select either the entire table or individual rows by clicking the check box

  2. Click Assign

  3. Select the future Start Date from the calendar

    The price group being used for the selections made will be displayed above the date after selection, if there is a single site selected and there is a price group future dated change the price group and bands displayed could be either for the current or future price group (depending on date selection)
  4. Select the required Price Band

  5. Click Apply Changes | the grid will be displayed with the updated selection

  6. Click Save

    If the banding grid has been loaded with multiple pages before changing the page any changes must be saved

Managing Banding - Export & Import

Follow these steps to manage banding information in the via export to spread sheet and import:

Exporting

  1. Click the 3 dot menu | select Export Banding

  2. Confirm the export by clicking Export

    The exported spread sheet will be added to your downloads folder, open the sheet to begin editing

    The spread sheet will contain all of the sites, sales areas and subcategories (across all pages) at the time of export
    The file name of the spread sheet will be the following format: SalesAreaBanding_<Date>

Editing the Spread Sheet

  1. Set the Date and Future Price Band within the sheet

    Dates should entered in the following format:

    Future price bands should be entered with band letters only

    Only the date and future price band fields can be edited all other cells are blocked from entry
  2. Save the spread sheet

Importing

  1. Select Banding

  2. Click Import | or from an open Banding click the 3 dot menuselect Import Banding

  3. Drag and Drop the file into the import area or click the link and locate the file to upload

    One file can only be uploaded at a time, the file will be validated and displayed that it uploaded correctly, if the wrong file was selected it can be deleted at this time and the process repeated to select the correct file
  4. Click Import

    When the file has imported the banding information will be updated with the new settings

Sync Status

The sync status gives visibility of the latest status updates between Zonal Connect and Aztec.

Sync in Progress
Sync Failed

The following information is displayed before loading banding:

  • The overall status of both sales area and supplement banding is displayed next to the banding page title

  • Clicking the status icon will display a status of banding

    • Sync OK - all bands are correctly synced and the last sync time and date

    • Sync in Progress - bands are currently syncing and the last sync time and date

    • Sync Failed - the number of failed items and the last sync time and date

      • Sales Area & Supplement bands are displayed separately

      • Sync Now - click the button to retry the failed items and send to Aztec

The following information is displayed when banding is loaded:

  • The overall status of banding is displayed next to the banding page title

  • Clicking the status icon will display more information on the current status

    • Sync OK - all bands are correctly synced and the last sync time and date

    • Sync in Progress - bands are currently syncing and the last sync time and date

    • Sync Failed - the number of failed items and the last sync time and date

      • Learn More - click to display the failed list of sites and sales areas for sales area bands

      • Sync Now - click the button to retry the failed items and send to Aztec
