Units

Units are used in the creation of sales, prep and purchase items, there are three categories of units available:

  • Weight

  • Volume

  • Item

When managing items units are assigned either as a value in which they are purchased or the value of ingredients consumed from stock.

Examples
  • Weight: 10kg - 5g - 100g - 10oz

  • Volume: 70cl - 10 Litre - 25ml - 12 fl-oz

  • Item: Each - 24 Pack - 100 Items

Zonal Connect has enhanced the name fields across the platform, Main Names are now longer fields and will be displayed in all areas in Zonal Connect that may use that field, the Aztec Name field is used to update the existing Aztec module with the same character limits
Navigate to Product Admin → Units

Adding New Units

  1. Click Add | select the required unit type Item, Volume or Weight

  2. Enter the following details, Main Name | Aztec Name | Description (optional)

  3. Enter the value of the unit

  4. Select the base unit of measurement

    The default unit of measurements are:

    Volume - ml

    Weight - g

    Item - item

  5. Click Add

Adding Units in Bulk

In addition to adding units on a singular basis the bulk add option enables you to create new units of the same or different type in a bulk entry screen.

Follow these steps to add new units in bulk:

  1. Click Add | select Add In Bulk

  2. Select the initial type for unit creation, Item, Volume or Weight | click Add Type

  3. Enter the following details, Main Name | Aztec Name | Description (optional)

  4. Enter the value of the unit

  5. Select the base unit of measurement

    The default unit of measurements are:

    Volume - ml

    Weight - g

    Item - item

  6. Click Add Unit to continue adding the same type | or click Add Type to change to a different unit type

  7. When all units have been added, click Add

Editing Units

Follow these steps to edit a unit:

  1. Select the required unit

  2. Update any fields as required | click Save

Searching Units

Follow these steps to search for a unit:

  1. In the list section click into the search

  2. Enter the search term, press <enter> or click the search icon, the results will be displayed matching the search term including any mid-word matches

  3. To remove the search click the remove search icon

Viewing Activity

Follow these steps to view the activity of a unit:

  1. Select the Activity tab

  2. By default todays activity is initially displayed, adjust the date selection to choose either

    • 1M - last 1 month of changes

    • 3M - last 3 months of changes

    • Custom - date range picker

  3. Activity will be displayed with the following information

    • Date & Time

    • User

    • Action
