Events Setup • Privacy & Consent

Privacy & Consent

Privacy and consent refer to how personal information is collected, used, and shared, and ensuring individuals have control over how their data is handled.

The functionality can be enabled by using toggle switches, and a character count for the text boxes.

Navigate to Events Admin → Privacy & Consent

Configuring Privacy & Consent

The consent types are: Email, Phone, SMS, Postal, Push Notification, Profiling, Consent Statement, (each with a toggle and optional display text) and Privacy Statement (with an additional configurable URL box).

When enabling any of these consent fields, they instantly become available on your booking journey.

If you are using the API, you may be required to check with your web developer to ensure these fields are enabled for display

Follow these steps to enable Privacy & Consent Fields:

  1. Choose from either applying changes to your full Estate (ALL) or by selecting a Company name from the drop down

  2. Using the toggles, enable the relevant fields you want to show on the booking journey

  3. Once enabled, define the display text you want displayed beside the tick box your booker will see

Only on the Privacy Statement is an additional value required - that being the URL location of your privacy statement

  4. Click Save Changes

Zonal recommends that any changes made to these fields be checked once saved on your website. This will confirm the changes you have made have taken the desired effect

Configuring Terms & Conditions

This feature allows Admin users to insert a link for customer terms and conditions statement at Estate or Company level.

We realise that our generic terms and conditions statement might not be perfectly suited to a vast variety of businesses we serve. As such, we introduced an ability for Events Estate Admins to add a custom link that will replace the default terms and conditions in the Booking Widget and External API.

You can view the Zonal default terms and conditions on the landing page. By selecting a company from the available drop down - beside this a URL will display

Follow these steps to your set up Terms & Conditions:

  1. At either state level or company level, paste a HTTPS URL into the available field.

  2. Click Save Changes

Please note: When the above fields are left blank, then the existing default Zonal Terms and Conditions will be used in the Widget and External API

Field Settings & Information

All data is captured within reporting. This data can be obtained through the request to your Account Representative for a data export. This information is also available within the daily delta feeds. If your business uses a CRM platform, we suggest you enable SFTP data feeds to run daily.
