Occasions

An Occasion represents the starting point of a customer’s booking journey – essentially the “why” or “what” behind their booking. Think of it as the call to action that guides the guest toward the type of experience they are reserving with your venue.

An occasion could be as simple as a standard table reservation, or as specific as a themed or time-limited event, such as afternoon tea, Christmas party nights, or a cocktail masterclass. Occasions can be ongoing, scheduled for fixed periods, or one-off, ad-hoc experiences such as birthdays, hen/stag nights, or seasonal celebrations.

By setting up occasions, you can structure and present your offerings clearly to guests, making it easy for them to identify and book the experience that suits their needs. Occasions also help your team manage availability, highlight special events, and optimise how different types of bookings are displayed in your booking widget.

The Occasions tab is divided into three pages, allowing you to define:

  • Standard - your occasion parameters

  • Default - settings to define system defaults

  • Archived - the management of old occasion
