Preparation

The preparation tab enables different configuration settings to be applied to the sales item for use during preparation or routing.

Completing Cook Times

Cook times are used in conjunction with kitchen management system to stage the order of preparation of items.

Adding / Editing Cook Times

Follow these steps to add cook times:

  1. Click into the Cook Time field

  2. Enter the required time

  3. For products with more than 1 portion either:

    • Enter the required cook time

    • or select the Use Default Cook time check box which will use the time set against the standard portion

  4. Click Save

Setting Future Dated Cook Times

If there are future dated ingredient or choice changes cook times will automatically be given a future date to set any cook time changes.

Follow these steps to add future dated cook times:

  1. Select the calendar titled "As of Today"

    Future dates with ingredients or choices already configured will be displayed with a yellow dot below the date

  2. Choose a date in the future for which you wish to update cook times | click Apply

    If there is no existing date a new one can be selected, automatically this will create a future date change for ingredients and choices (these do not have to have any updates made if just a change of cook time is needed)

  3. Update the required cook times

  4. Click Save

Removing Future Dated Cook Times

Follow these steps to remove future dated cook times:

  1. Select the calendar titled "As of Today"

  2. Choose the a date where a future record exists, indicated by the yellow dot below the date | click Apply

  3. Click Remove Settings | confirm Remove

    Removing any future dated cook times will also remove any configured ingredients or choices for the selected date

Field Settings & Information

Choice Settings

The choice settings section allows you to set the behaviour for the sales item when part of a choice.

The following table of information describes each of the details fields:
Field Description
Rollup Price When selected rollup price will ensure that the price displayed to the customer is the total price of the main sales item and any items selected from a choice
Follow Parent Course When selected follow parent course will ensure the sales item follows the same routing as the parent item
Preparation Route

The routing behaviour will be determined based on this setting by default new sales items will be set as "Preparation Route for the Product" but "Preparation Route for Parent Product" and "Both" can be selected

 

Cook Times

Cook time settings enable individual portion times to be added for length of preparation when sending orders to kitchen systems.

The following table of information describes each of the details fields:
Field Description
Portion Each portion used against the sales item will be displayed, if each portion has the same cook time this can be added to the standard portion and all others set to Default Cook Time
Time Time added in HH:MM:SS
Default Cook Time

Time taken from the standard portion
