Loyalty integration with Guest Ordering features

This area covers the multiple features available for a guest using Loyalty integrated with White Label Ordering products.

It focuses on what can be configured by customers in Loyalty and iOrder to achieve the desired guest journeys in White Label App and Web Ordering.

To help use this guide, a few principles of how White Label Ordering, iOrder and Loyalty relate to each other have been highlighted below.

  • iOrder Account (that can be associated to Loyalty): Refers to a user account created in iOrder This account is used by White Label Ordering (White Label App and Web Ordering), this account can be for a guests or a staff members and is not an admin account to the iOrder platform.

  • Loyalty Card: Refers to the “Loyalty number” linked to a program that is provided to a guest or staff member either by a physical card collected in a venue or a virtual card provided by email from the Loyalty sign up widget or White Label Ordering sign up process.

  • Loyalty Card Association to White Label Ordering: Refers to linking a Loyalty Card to an iOrder Account so the guest or staff member can use White Label App and Web Ordering to view their Loyalty details, accrue and redeem rewards.

Reward Redemption Compatibility

Zonal Loyalty supports several types of rewards, including discounts, birthday treats, recurring items, and “Buy X, Get Y” offers.

Zonal’s White Label App and Web Ordering solutions allow customers to see and redeem Loyalty rewards. To enable this, each reward must be set up with a compatible Value Type..

What are Value Types?

A displayed balance will have a Balance Value Type (defines that the balance is of a specific Value Type when a customer is viewing the balance).

A configured reward will have a Cost Value Type (defines that a Reward cost a specific Value Type when a customer is redeeming).

Value Types

Standard Value Types:

Zonal Loyalty offers four standard value types (your program may use some or all)

  • Currency: Earned through spending or points. Currency is a monetised value that can be spent within a venue.

    • Balance Value Type: Currency

    • Cost Value Type: Not applicable, as is not recommended for currency to be used as a cost for a reward

  • Points: Typically earned from spending, can be exchanged for rewards or currency

    • Balance Value Type: Points
    • Cost Value Type: Points

  • Visits: Number of transactions linked to a guest’s loyalty account

    • Balance Value Type: Visits
    • Cost Value Type: Visits (can be used, but not recommended)

  • Total Spend: Total amount spent by a loyalty account holder. Total spend is calculated automatically. You can also set spend value types for specific categories (e.g., Food, Drinks, Accommodation) to track spending in each Aztec Division separately.

    • Balance Value Type: Spend
    • Cost Value Type: Not applicable, as is not recommended for total spend to be used as a cost for a reward

Buy x Get y (stamps) Value Types:

When setting up a Buy X, Get Y reward, two value types are created for each buy x get y reward:

  • Item stamps: Tracks qualifying purchases

    • This is how the balance of stamps for a reward is tracked so there is not a specific Balance Value Type in this rewards, once the item stamps reaches the amount of stamps needed for a reward, the balance will revert to zero and add one to the "Reward stamp" balance

  • Rewards stamps: Tracks earned rewards

    • Cost Value Type: Stamps (when redeemed it will always cost one)

Custom Value Types (Items)

Customers can create custom value types for more complex loyalty programs.
