Notifications

Notifications can be created in Kitchen iQ to perform two functions

To use paging notifications a separate companion application Message Hub must be setup and the appropriate paging hardware configured on site

Navigate to Configuration → Notifications

Follow these steps to add a new notification:

Click Add
Select the required notification type from the Name drop down
- Prep Table
- Check Table
- When All Items are Ready - pager message notification when all items on a table are ready
- When the First Item is Ready - pager message notification when the first item on the table is ready
Set the Action
- Message (send page notification)
- Display (shows on a screen)
For "items ready" notification types only an action of message is available and f the notification type is Check Table specify in the Delay entry box a time in MM:SS
Set the Criteria
- Station for "Display Actions"
- Course For "Message Actions"
Adjust the Order as required using the up / down arrow buttons
Click Save

Prep and check table notifications have additional display options which can be configured.

Follow these steps to update display options:

Select the course Colour from the picker
Select an optional Icon from the drop down
Update the Target | Warn | Alert times as required for the configuration of the notification in MM:SS
Update the New Duration time as required for the configuration in MM:SS
Select the required Stations from the drop down
Click Save

Field Settings & Information

Notifications define when to send a page or show an on screen message.

The following table of information describes each of the notification fields:

Field	Description
Order	Arrows to re-order the notification rules - when the system looks for any notifications it works down the list from order 1
Name	Drop down to define the notification type When All Items are Ready - pager message notification when all items on a table are ready When the First Item is Ready - pager message notification when the first item on the table is ready Prep Table - notification to prepare items for a table Check Table - notification to complete a check back on a table
Action	Drop down to define the action Message - send pager notification message (the control of who the message goes to is controlled in Message Hub) Display - show a on screen ticket that should be bumped via bump bar, touch screen or message action Display & Message - combination of paging message on screen ticket
Criteria	Drop down to define the station criteria where the notification will be triggered from
Delay	Entry box to define a timed delay before the notification is generated (Check Table only)

Display options define how message and when messages will be displayed on screen.

The following table of information describes each of the display option fields:

Field	Description
Colour	Colour selector to define the colour of the notification indicator on the display ticket
Icon	Icon selector to define the optional icon indicator on the display ticket
Target	Input to define the notification completion time MM:SS
Warn	Input to define the notification warn time in MM:SS (displayed in amber) when the notification is approaching the target time
Alert	Input to define the notification alert time in MM:SS (displayed in red) when the notification is near or at the target time
New Duration	Input to to configure the MM:SS of a new notification ticket displayed
Station	Drop down to define the station that the "display" notification will appear on
