Notifications

Notifications can be created in Kitchen iQ to perform two functions

  • Send Pager notifications when items are ready

  • Create an on screen notification for the preparation and check of a table

To use paging notifications a separate companion application Message Hub must be setup and the appropriate paging hardware configured on site

Navigate to Configuration → Notifications

Adding New Notifications

Follow these steps to add a new notification:

  1. Click Add

  2. Select the required notification type from the Name drop down

    • Prep Table

    • Check Table

    • When All Items are Ready - pager message notification when all items on a table are ready

    • When the First Item is Ready - pager message notification when the first item on the table is ready

  3. Set the Action

    • Message (send page notification)

    • Display (shows on a screen)

    For "items ready" notification types only an action of message is available and f the notification type is Check Table specify in the Delay entry box a time in MM:SS
  4. Set the Criteria

    • Station for "Display Actions"

    • Course For "Message Actions"

  5. Adjust the Order as required using the up / down arrow buttons

  6. Click Save

Notification Display Options

Prep and check table notifications have additional display options which can be configured.

Follow these steps to update display options:

  1. Select the course Colour from the picker

  2. Select an optional Icon from the drop down

  3. Update the Target | Warn | Alert times as required for the configuration of the notification in MM:SS

  4. Update the New Duration time as required for the configuration in MM:SS

  5. Select the required Stations from the drop down

  6. Click Save
