Permissions

Each user created is assigned permission groups which define the levels of access to each app and area within the platform, there is no limit to the number of permissions that can be created and assigned to an individual user.

There are two types of permissions available:

  • System Permissions - these are out of the box groups which if used and assigned to a user will permit full add / edit / delete rights to a particular app / area, these are great to get started using Zonal Connect

System permissions are not configurable, however for ease of use they can be cloned and then edited as a custom permission
  • Custom Permissions - highly configurable permissions enabling the creation of different permissions sets applicable to the type of users within the organisation

For high levels of customisation Zonal recommend creating individual groups for each app or area, this makes it easy to assign to users or remove when that user no longer needs access to a particular function

    • Second or third levels define permissions across either an app function or section

      • View - allows a user to view the selected option

      • Add - allows a user to add new records
