Cost Centres with Aztec Revenue Centres

Sales can now be split across multiple cost centres automatically. Stocks does this in two ways: sales are allocated based on the Aztec Revenue Centre where each sale was made, so a single profit centre can have multiple cost centres and each sale flows to the right one. A sales department can also be linked to more than one cost centre (a many-to-many mapping), so the same product can deplete a different cost centre depending on the Revenue Centre it was sold in.

Previously, sales could only be allocated to a single cost centre per sales department, so venues with multiple areas selling from the same stock (a bar, a restaurant, a terrace) couldn't split those sales across separate cost centres automatically.

Example

  • A drink sold at the Bar Revenue Centre depletes stock from your Bar cost centre

  • A meal sold at the Restaurant Revenue Centre depletes stock from your Food cost centre

This gives you much more accurate stock results across your venue without the need to create separate profit centres for each area
