Redemptions

Unique voucher codes generated through Voucher Manager or third-party systems can be redeemed at the point of sale, automatically triggering configured payments, product sales, discounts, or promotions. To enable the voucher feature, complete the setup on the following page.

Requirements

The following requirements are needed for voucher redemptions to be processed:

• Configuration of Voucher Manager Completed

• API accounts created for each site required

Follow these steps to configure the plugin information:

1. From the Plugin drop down select TXD

2. Enter the following required information

   • Username - enter username as created in Voucher Manager API user account

   • Password - enter password as created in Voucher Manager API user account

   • Base URL - enter the following URL

     • Production Accounts:

     • Staging Accounts: https://vouchers-but.znl-qa03.com/

3. Click Save

Voucher Buttons

Follow these steps to add voucher buttons:

1. Select the required Theme Panel Design or Shared Panel where the buttons should be added

2. From the Button Picker | Other Lists | iZone add the following buttons

   • Redeem TXD Voucher

     • Enables a POS operator to redeem voucher codes

       This function is used for the redemption of Voucher Manager Redemption Types: Item | Payment | Discount

   • TXD Apply Promotion

     • Enables a POS operator to redeem voucher codes

       This function is used for the redemption of Voucher Manager Redemption Types: Promotion

   • Cancel TXD Voucher

     • Enables a the POS operator cancel the redemption of a single voucher code

   • Cancel All TXD Vouchers

     • Enables a POS operator to cancel all redeemed voucher codes in one action

   Zonal recommends to update the name of the buttons using the override text so that POS operators understand their usage

3. Click Save

Local Panels for Trigger & Other Voucher Related Buttons

When voucher redemptions trigger a promotion (from a trigger product), payment or discount, the associated items that activate these rewards must be added to a theme panel design. This ensures that, during the redemption process, the point of sale terminal can automatically apply the relevant products, payment methods or discounts to the order. If these are not included in the theme panel, the transaction will fail.

Promotion Redemptions

When voucher redemptions trigger a promotion directly (not via a trigger product) additional setup is required in order for the redemption to process and the promotion be activated.

Follow these steps to configure promotion redemptions:

1. Select the required Promotion from the list

2. Against Third Party Translations click Add

3. Enter the Promotion ID

   The promotion ID is retrieved from the database - request this information from your Zonal Account Representative (this ID is additionally used in Voucher Manager when configuring the Aztec Item Code ID)

4. Click Save

Prefixes

For the point of sale terminal to recognise voucher codes and perform the appropriate actions when they are entered or scanned, the prefix groups must be updated to match the specified number of digits that make up the voucher prefix.
