3.19.0 - Setup & Operations

The following information describes the setup and use of features within this release of Aztec.

Allow Free Choice Items in BOGOF Promotions

Setup

Navigate to Promotions

  1. Click New | select new promotion type Enhanced BOGOF

  2. Enter the Promotion Name | Description (optional) and any other configurations required, | click Next

  3. Select the required Sites for the promotion, | click Next

  4. Click Add to create the Sale Groups where the following settings can be configured

    • Quantity - number of items from within the group that should be purchased in order to active the promotion

    • Recipe Child Mode

      • Exclude Children from Promotion - Only the Parent Price is used for Promotion calculations. Priced Child Items are not included. Please note that this is the default behaviour if no other option is selected

      • Select Recipe with Highest Family Price - Family Price is both the Parent price and any Child item price(s) combined. If this option is selected, then the Highest Family Price is selected

      • Select Recipe with Lowest Family Price - Family Price is both the Parent price and any Child item price(s) combined. If this option is selected, then the Lowest Family Price is selected

    • Make Children Free - if enabled any priced Child items that have been added to a Parent item will be free: This will be disabled by default.

    If the option within Recipe Children Mode “Exclude Children from Promotion” has been configured, then the option to Make Children Free will be visible to the user but will be greyed out

  5. Click Next

  6. Select the required Products for each group, | click Next

  7. Set the required Activation Details, | click Next

  8. Set any required Promotion Exceptions, | click Next

  9. Configure the Pricing Method required for each configured group | click Next

  10. Set any required Portion Price Mappings | click Next

  11. Click Finish to complete the promotion setup

Navigate to Communications

  1. Perform a Comms Job & Send to POS to site

POS Operations

There are no changes to how promotions are activated on POS terminals, when the criteria is met the promotion will trigger and display as normal including making child items (choices selections) free as configured.
