Theme Settings

When certain settings and functions in the finance module are used, some actions must be completed on the point of sale terminal. To support this, buttons need to be added to the theme / shared panel designs.

General Options

The following buttons are required for general day to day operations:

Open Terminal

This function enables POS operators to open the terminal to start trading, if 'Track Drawer Inserts' is enabled they will be prompted to select an available floated insert.

Session Change

This function enables POS operators to end the session which will prevent any more sales on the terminal.

Close Mobile Terminals

This function enables POS operators to end the session for all mobile terminals, if a new sale occurs through a mobile terminal it will automatically re-open the session.

Skim Drawer

The POS operator will be able to action an uplift / skim using this function where they either record monies uplifted or state that they will complete the count action later in the office.

Drawer Inserts

The following buttons are required for use with drawer inserts:

Increase Drawer Float

This function enables POS operators to add further float funds into the insert from a selected safe.

Assign Terminal Drawer

When drawer inserts is enabled when using the 'Open Terminal' function the POS operator will be prompted to select a drawer insert, if they wish they can open the terminal but assign the drawer later (they will be permitted to complete sales but no payments), the function will enable the POS operator to assign the drawer insert.

Money Belts

The following buttons are required for use with money belts:

Start Money Belt Session

This function enables POS operators to start a money belt session, if 'Track Money Belts' is enabled they will be prompted to select an available floated money belt.

End Money Belt Session

This function enables POS operators to end a money belt session, the selected money belt report will be printed.

Skim Money Belt

Managers Money Belt Report

An optional report allows POS operators, typically managers, to review all open money belt sessions and the amounts taken within each. This helps identify when an operator is carrying excessive cash, enabling timely uplifts to reduce security risks.

Money Belt Report

An optional money belt report can be run by POS operators to provide full payment details before ending a session, supporting accurate reconciliation.

Machines

The following buttons can be optionally used with machines:

Enter Machine Claims

When a guest complains that the gaming machine took some of their money a claim can be raised and the amount recorded by the POS operator using this function, this will reduce the cash from selected point of sale terminal / drawer and will be later reconciled upon a machine collection.
