Correction Methods

Correction methods are used on the point of sale terminal to remove ordered products from an account. Their behaviour depends on the settings applied, allowing different outcomes based on how each method is configured.

Navigate to Configuration Manager → Correction Methods

Adding Correction Methods

Follow these steps to add a correction method:

  1. Click New

  2. Enter the Name

  3. Select the Type

    • Both - when set products can be corrected when either in an saved or unsaved state

    • Saved - when set only products that are saved can be corrected

    • Unsaved - when set only products that are unsaved can be corrected

  4. Enter the Button Top / Middle / Bottom Text

  5. Set the following options as required

    • Print Order Ticket - when selected a

    • Return to Stock - when selected the corrected products will be returned to stock as if they were not sold

    • Record as Waste - when selected the corrected products will be treated as waste in the stock module

  6. Click Create

Zonal recommends that onsite teams are correctly briefed about the behaviour of correction methods in relation to return to stock and wastage

Editing Correction Methods

Follow these steps to edit a correction method:

  1. Select an existing Correction Method

  2. Click Modify

  3. Update the Name or Button Text

    Only these settings can be amended if other settings are needed to be changed a new correction method should be created

Adding Correction Buttons to Themes

Navigate to Theme Modelling → Themes

Follow these steps to add correction buttons:

  1. Select the required Theme Panel Design

  2. Click Design

  3. Select Correct Account from the Select Panel drop down

  4. From the Button Picker | Other Lists | Correction find the new correction method buttons and drag on to the correct account screen

  5. Adjust the properties of the buttons as required, Size | Colour | Position | Security
