Pre-Authorisation / Bar Tab Pre-authorisations are used to validate a customer's payment method and reserve a certain amount of funds before a purchase is made. This feature is particularly useful in situations where the final bill is not immediately known, such as when a customer opens a bar tab or dines at a restaurant. This must be used mainly in purpose of addressing the bar tab functionality where the process includes adding orders to their account throughout their visit.
