Permissions

Follow the steps below to access, create, or update/amend custom user permissions on Zonal Delivery.

These options define the functions available to particular users, or alternatively can be used to limit what they can do when logged onto the platform.

Accessing Permissions

Follow these steps to access permissions:

  1. To begin, a user with full access permissions should log into Zonal Delivery, and navigate to Settings within their profile

  2. Navigate to Members on the left menu, followed by Permissions

    You can review users that have been created, along with their assigned role and location access from the Members tab
  3. Existing Roles will be displayed, including the permissions that are assigned to them

Creating Roles

Follow these steps to create roles:

  1. To create a new role, select Add a role

  2. Give the role a Name and select the appropriate permissions from the Role Actions drop down list

  3. The permissions available to assign are:

    • Catalogue Ingest

    • Publish DSP

    • Remove integration

    • Create location events provider

    • Update location events provider

    • Remove location events providers

    • Add location events provider to org

    • Update location

    • Delete location

    • Bind DSP location

    • Resume DSP location

    • Delete DSP location

    • Create org

    • Delete org

      Type into the search box to filter the results and quickly find the permission you require
  4. Select Create to proceed, and the new role will be available to assign to users

Amending Roles

Follow these steps to amend roles:

  1. Select the 3 dots next to the Role to amend or update the assigned permissions

  2. Add the Role types required for the update, followed by Update to save

Assigning Roles

Follow these steps to assign roles to users:

  1. To assign users to the new role, return to the Members tab, and click Add Member

  2. Add user details

  3. The new role (as well as any others) will be available in the Permission drop down list

  4. Complete the required details, including selecting the locations required for the user

  5. Once all details have been completed, click Add to proceed

Multiple users can be created at the same time by selecting "Add another member"

Updating Existing Users

Follow these steps to update existing users:

  1. Navigate to Settings, followed by the Members option in the left-hand menu

  2. An existing user’s role and location access can be updated by selecting the 3 dots next to the user

  3. From the list that appears, select Edit member

  4. Edit as required, and click Save to confirm
